Professional coaching

Professional coaching
Professional coaching is something that is being used in many organizations worldwide today. The quality in a coach is a tangible that is also highly sought after and the International Coach Federation (ICF) accredits coach training programs that will meet these high standards. Training can help people be more effective in the workplace (Hale 2007). Proper training is an important part in coaching. There are two types of programs, the Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) and the Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH). There is also a Continuing Coach Education program available as well.

Each program offered provides a different level of coaching fundamentals from mild level coaching, full accreditation from start to finish which focus on beginner, intermediate or advanced coaching level training, or continued education for those whom are already coaching professionals seeking advanced training or need to renew their ICF credentials. All programs align with ICF’s definition of coaching and focus on Core Competencies and Code of Ethics, to ensure a high level of coaching competency.
