In the history of the United States there have been many exhibitions of group or mob behavior, from the Boston Tea Party to the 1968 riots in Detroit to current day exhibitions of group behaviors in support of or opposition to the war in Iraq. In all of these, there are similarities. After you have read Chapter 10 on social relations in groups, and done some research of your own, choose one significant historical event that involved notable group behavior, and relate it to one or more specific theories of behavior using one or more theory identified. Be prepared to support your discussion.
