The field of psychosocial epidemiology requires an understanding of independent, moderating, and dependent variables
as they relate to health outcomes. What makes this challenging is that these variables are often multifactorial in
nature. Using Figure 15-1 in your textbook as a guide (Friis and Sellers, 2009), develop a model that describes the
independent, moderating and dependent psychosocial variables associated with a chronic health condition.
