Public Administration
Introduction: Students will complete a short essay each week which
will apply the concepts they are learning in the course to a current
federal, state, or local government issue or problem.
Directions: Students must select a current issue regarding the
federal, state, or local government from one of the following sites:
http://www.governing.com/
http://www.govexec.com/
Students must write two pages paper which:
1) Describes the issue,
2) Explains how the issue is related to the concepts in the Hill and
Lynn text (preferably related to this week’s reading), and
3) Explains the implications for public managers.
