Following a series of redundancies in your firm the managing director has expressed concern that staff is now seriously demotivated and as a consequence, productivity has fallen signifiantly despite the long hours staffs are now working. you have been asked by the managing director to prepare a report setting out proposals for a staff development, appraisal and performance system to re-motivate staff.
your report should be supported by academic theory. you may prepare your report from the perspective of either a consultancy practice or construction company as you feel appropriate. you should concentrate on the application of theory, not simply the description of theory. description of theory, where relevant, shoud be placed in the appendices.
