Course Description and Objectives
Using the two reports provided, compare and contrast the changes in real estate trends between 2011 and 2016 both in the US and Canada.
Produce at least 5 pages report.
Marks will be awarded for trying to tie what we have learnt in class with the reports. Try to draw the differences between US real estate industry to Canada.
This course provides an introduction to the study of real estate principle, investments and valuations. Throughout the course you will develop tools and techniques for the appraisal and analysis of real estate investments by examining realistic problems and solutions.
Specifically, by the end of the semester students should be able to:
• Evaluate a potential real estate investment opportunity
• Analyze the value of a property using various techniques
• Understand how to create and maintain value for investment properties
