Reflective Letter

Paper instructions:
The Curious Writer: Concise Edition (3rd Edition) by
Bruce Ballenger

1. Using your writing from this semester as evidence, discuss your main area(s) of growth as a writer this semester.
2. Have your ideas about the writing process changed this semester? If so, in what ways?

3. Discuss one of your final pieces in terms of audience. Who (this might be a specific group of people or a specific person—for instance, Idahoans or my teenager or — or a group of people in general—smokers, people who don’t think animals have feelings, Idahoans, etc) did you have in mind when writing and how did this effect your writing and revision process?
4. Discuss how your use of sources in your Curiousity Log piece effected your thinking about your topic.
Beyond this, I’ve come up with some things you may want to consider, but they are optional suggestions only intended to inspire your pen. Feel free to explore other aspects of your writing if you wish.
?&?ßsp;Which piece represents your best work and why?
?&?ßsp;Which essay does you as a writer the least justice and why?

?&?ßsp;What specific problems did you encounter with specific essays?

?&?ßsp;How did ideas for essays come to you?

?&?ßsp;How have you changed because of the writing you’ve done this semester?

?&?ßsp;Revisit one of the essays you wrote this semester and discuss the specific revisions you’ve made. What did you try? Why? And did it work? And so on. Tell me about your revision process. What did it look like? How did it feel? Etc.
