Research Hypothesis and data analysis

I want to formulate and discuss a null hypothesis and an alternative hypothesis based on the Virginia Hospital data set 2001-2005.
In addition to my discussion of the null hypotheses, I also want to provide an explanation of Type I and Type II errors, and explain why I think a familywise error would—or would not—be of concern.
