Resisting McDonaldization
Order Description
Describe how an aspect of society, such as education, work, food consumption, religion, etc. is resisting McDonaldization. Decide which efforts are most promising or realistic in resisting McDonaldization. Analysis should emphasize our course core value of Community.

In this course, the value of Community will be emphasized as students explore the effects of McDonaldization on various groups in society.

CLASS PAPERS
Paper guidelines:
1. Five full pages ( excluding title page and references)
2. Five sources, APA format
a. Course text book: Ritzer, George. 2013. The McDonaldization of Society, 20th Anniversary Edition. Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage
b. Supplemental readings and
c. Three additional valid sources (newspaper, magazine, journal articles, books.)
3. One page maximum for explanation of terms and concepts
4. One page maximum for how the chosen aspect is McDonaldized, majority of paper must be on the resistance aspect
Note: This is not research papers, per say; so keep definitions of terms and concepts to a minimum so you can focus on the actual topic you selected. Only one page for general discussion of McDonaldization, terms, concepts etc. The remainder of the paper must focus on your specific topic.
