Directions:
•    Compose a one page, typewritten, double-spaced essay using 12 pt. font with 1.25 margins reflecting your personal response to one or more of the following quotes.
•    Make sure the quote/quotes appear in the paper so the instructor will know to which quote/quotes you have chosen to respond.
•    Include the following information in the left-hand corner of the assignment:  your name, identifying course info, the instructor’s name, the assignment title (or title of the article if you are responding to a reading assignment), and the date.  Although in MLA formatting this information is double-spaced, for our papers please single space the info.  Example:

Students in all courses should  be able to compose a discipline-appropriate written response with effective content, structure, and mechanics as measured in the writing rubric used to evaluate students’ written communication skills.
