The assigned article: Slobodian, Quinn (2015). How to See the World Economy: statistics, maps and Schumpeter’s camera in the first age of globalization*, Journal of Global History, 10, pp. 307-332.
This review is 20% of the final grade. The review is assesed on the following points:
– The review must provide a short well-rounded summary of the article (from about 400-500 words); after which you comment on it.
-The review must have a good structure based on the article; the review comments on the choices/decisions the author has made.
– You are able to write in correct English; you are able to explain why this article fits the course (global transformations in historic perspective); and what you think of it, and whether it meets your expectations.
– You fail for this review if it is sloppy in spelling mistakes, language mistakes, arguments, and reflection. If you have a clear argument and show that you have thought about the article you will pass.
