. The paper is a six-to-eight page essay (1800 to 2400 words), guided by a thesis, about a
building or city dating from before 1750. The paper will use research from on-line sources as
well as at least two books found in a library and two scholarly articles found on-line through
search engines that are available on the CCA library website. The paper will be typed, carefully
edited, have captioned illustrations, footnotes/endnotes, and a bibliography. The final paper is
considered 20% of your grade and these assignments will be calculated as part of your grade
using these percentages: (topic 1%, partial bibliography, 1%, short description of your building,
2 %, full bibliography, 1%, movement through your building, 2%, rough outline, 1% partial
draft, 2% oral presentation, 3% final paper 7%).
the building I choose is the Notre Dame de Paris, feel free to change it if you find something else is better as long as the building was built before 1750. It should have clear thesis and argument paragraphs, also has to include movement through the building/site
that is the topic of the paper.
