SHM Lab Theory:

SHM Lab
Theory:
The equation that is given from the k of a spring is
F=-kx
Spring periodicity is given by:
T=2π√(m/k)
Pendulum periodicity is given by:
T=2π√(L/g)
Where;
F is the force, k is the spring constant which we should get, m is the mass, T is the time, L is the length, and g is the gravity.
Procedures:
This lab contains of two different periodicities which are Spring and Pendulum. Firstly, we determined the k of the spring by measuring the change in length for various weights, and recorded the height, the x, and the time 5 times. Then, in the second part, we measured the pendulum height, we chose 5 different angles. After that, we pulled the weight in exactly the angles that we chose, and let the weight go 10 times with recording the times by the stop watch.
