Sociology

Students of race want to know if we still live in a racist society, and what our racial order ought to look like.We can test our visions of the ideal racial order by putting them to practice, or at least by reasoning them through to their likely consequences.
Answer the questions below by looking at today’s generation and society.
Imagine a racially democratic society. What would that look like? How would your daily life be different in such a society? Record your reflections.
List some ways you can work (or perhaps are working) for racial justice in your daily life.
List at least one way you can change (1) yourself, (2) the people in your inner circle, (3) an institution to which you belong, and (4) your nation.
As you do so, think about what kinds of resistance you might face and what you can do to overcome that resistance.
