Watch the film, “Remember the Titans” discuss the challenges faced by the team; discuss the time of the film in history and what had to happen to ensure the success of the team. Explain the roles of the coach, community and different members of the team in making changes or causing more problems. Examine the role that sport had in changing cultural values and acceptance. What lessons can we take from this movie and use today in our sport experiences either as a participant or fan? Do issues of race still have an impact on sport experiences and expectations?
