This assignment specifically addresses the following course outcome: • conduct stakeholder analysis to identify concerns and appropriate viewpoints The Assignment While you will use the case study assigned to your Study Group, this is an individual assignment. You must work on your own. Using the case study assigned to your group and the Stakeholder Analysis Exercise spreadsheet template provided, you will complete the four columns of the spreadsheet for each the stakeholder groups that you identify. The Stakeholder Analysis Exercise spreadsheet template is located under Course Content. The case study may NOT show all the stakeholders impacted by an EA implementation. This is where critical analysis comes into play. Do NOT merely focus on the known or traditional stakeholders. Do NOT use generic groups like “Executives,” “Management,” etc. Each of executive or manager (CEO, CIO, COO, Sales Director, HR Manager, etc.) should be listed out separately with its own stakeholder involvement classification (see above). Think about all levels of the organization to include possible external stakeholders. Use a top down or bottom up approach to conduct your critical analysis. For example, who are all the stakeholders from the executive-level to the operational-level of the company? Does the company have external stakeholders, like suppliers or customers, who will be impacted? Remember the operative phrase is “enterprise architecture,” which goes beyond the technology and includes the people, processes, and procedures. Here is what you need to do: 1. Use MS Excel and the Stakeholder Analysis spreadsheet template (located under Course Content) to prepare the Stakeholder Analysis spreadsheet based on the enterprise system and case study assigned to your group. 2. Review the sample entry in the Stakeholder Analysis tab of the spreadsheet template. This example shows the level of analysis that is required to be successful on this assignment. This sample entry will not be relevant to your case study and should be removed from your assignment. 3. Use the first column to identify all stakeholders that will be impacted the EA implementation. 4. Use the second column to briefly explain the interest or concern that the stakeholder has in the development of the EA. 5. Use the third column to identify each stakeholder groups’ “class” or role in the EA as one of the four shown above (Key Player, Keep Satisfied, Keep Informed, or Minimal Effort). 6. Use the fourth column to briefly explain your reasoning for selecting the class/role that you did. 7. At a minimum, the spreadsheet must contain all the column headings found in the spreadsheet template. Column headings must be formatted as Bold. 8. The font for all spreadsheet cells must be Calibri, 11 point. 9. Each entry must be in separate cell. 10. “All Borders” must be used to delineate the cells. Do NOT include All Borders for beyond the cells that do not contain text. 11.Unless you are very familiar with using MS Excel, it is best if you do not change any of the formatting found in template. The formatting is setup to meet format rubric in the Evaluation & Scoring Rubric table below. 12.Include the appropriate level of critical analysis shown in the various key attributes in the Evaluation & Scoring Rubric below 13. External research may be required to ensure that you have captured all stakeholders. 14. Remember to correctly cite and reference all sources including course materials and the case study. 15. List the references in a separate tab and titled Works Cited. Be sure to use the MS Excel “Word Wrap” feature and expand the column wide enough to accommodate each reference. Each reference must be entered into a separate cell. The template provides an example of what is required. 16. You should use scholarly journals. Be sure to provide the appropriate APA formatted citations on the Works Cited tab to avoid the perception of plagiarism.
