Question 2
Find a graph that has been printed in a national or local newspaper between 16 June, 2014 and the date that you submit your work. You must submit a copy of this graph, the related article and

the source (newspaper, author, date, page) with your assignment. Discuss the following aspects:

a)    Explain the technicalities of your graph – what is being drawn, the axes (if there are any) and the comparisons being made. (10 marks)
b)    Is the graph appropriate for the information that it is presenting? Is the graph necessary? Does it make the story easier to understand? Is it the correct type of graph? (10 marks)
c)    Analyse the graph, for example how well drawn is it, is it properly labelled, is it easy to read, are the scales proportional, is the source of data identified? How would you improve the

graph? (10 marks)
d)    Are there any other graphs that would be useful in order to understand the subject?

e)    Comment on the reliability of the source of the data contained in the graph. (10 marks)
