Descriptive Study about Stigma of Mental Health on Healthcare Workers
The main concept in this research is a study of the impacts of stigma on the mental health of healthcare workers. For a long time, people have assumed the plight of healthcare workers dealing with delicate mental cases. To effectively complete this study, I would use descriptive statistics. To come up with a reliable and accurate report about a population, the attributes of a population in question must be vividly described. This is primarily known as descriptive statistics. Normally, descriptive statistics describes the features of the data pertaining to the field of study; its core intention is to describe. The descriptions provide various summaries about the samples and the measures involved. However, for a survey to be more reliable; it must employ simple graphics such as graphs and pie charts (Kim & Mallory, 2013).
The most difficult thing in conducting a survey is to come up with accurate data. Nevertheless, accuracy can be greatly compromised especially when studying human population; being that they are mobile. In a bid to counter inaccurate data, the researcher should be tactical enough and make accurate entries about their attributes. The researcher should be directly involved in the data collection process, should either participate directly or indirectly in the survey activities. Direct participation gives a true and clear picture of what constitute the population (Kim & Mallory, 2013).
Inferences can be made to a particular study. While surveying a population, it is Important to make inferences to past studies. Inferences guides a researcher on what to observe; it gives a blueprint on how to collect the right information. In the past, researchers have done researches that are misleading to healthcare providers. Lack of accurate information leads to serious health implications (Lippincott & Wilkins, 2009). To avoid such problems l plan to carry out a free and relaxed survey
In order to collect most appropriate information, I will be using ratio scaling as populations cannot be accurately measured. Furthermore, ratio forms a basic component of sampling and population forecasting. Population survey provide crucial information to healthcare providers. (Lippincott & Wilkins, 2009).
