Using the data from your pre-test that has been entered into the file you created in M5: Assignment 1, run in SPSS some appropriate statistical analysis to describe the socio-demographics of your sample. This should include some frequency distributions for nominal (and, possibly, ordinal) data and some metrics (e.g., mean, median, etc.) for interval data.

Create a summated, summary scale (or index) from one set of items, e.g., job satisfaction, and report on the internal consistency of this scale (or index).

Assess the reliability of at least one scale or index comprised of several indicators within your survey (use SPSS to generate Cronbach’s alpha).

Now revisit your survey questionnaire, e.g., the survey instrument, and finalize it.

The survey instrument should have a sufficient number of items to demonstrate reasonable reliability for the construct(s) of interest. To receive full credit, you must submit a copy of the revised survey instrument, a paragraph on the purpose of the instrument, the specific proposed constructs/scales to be measured, etc., your descriptive item analysis, and an analysis of the estimated reliability for each scale.

Format: Your survey instrument should be in Microsoft Word 2000 or higher. Your paper should be double-spaced and in 12 pt. font.

All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources.
