Strategic Plan: differentiation to improve reading and math skills for elementary students

CASE STUDY/EXECUTIVE PLAN – More details!
DUE: 7 DECEMBER
(NO EXCEPTIONS! PLEASE DO NOT ASK. SHORT TURN AROUND TIME FOR MARKS! Thanks.)
Collaborative project (teams of 3-4)
To begin with, you will have to choose a strategic plan to use as your case. You may choose the one for the school in which you currently work OR

one of the ones I provided for the 16 November online assignment. This will, of course, provide the foundation for your plan.

Several parts:
Part I. (TEAM work) Determining Where and How To Begin: What’s your thinking for an organizational Resources Management Executive Plan?
This is where your discuss how you went about planning your plan. (metacognition – thinking about your thinking) Discuss how your group thought

about AND planned the plan!
Part II. (TEAM work) Rationale – written statement of why the document is set up as it is, why is says what it says, and what results you hope to

obtain by producing such a document. Should include refs (APA style) to best practice in educational leadership.
This is where you discuss the WHY of the PLAN. Why do you believe you need this plan and what is your thinking based on? (research!) The

difficulty here will be to be purposeful and concise! Remember: your Board does not have a lot of time to read in-depth reports!
Part III. (TEAM work) Identifying the components in your plan
This is where you break down your plan into its parts. This can be a list in which each component is explained in more detail.

Part IV. (TEAM work) Aligning the components to systems, strategic plan, etc (Putting the puzzle pieces together)
This is where your align the components to resources systems and to the plan. This can be an illustration with a more detailed explanation.
Part V. (TEAM work) The Plan (including budget outline)
This part shows the finances needed to carry out the plan and from where you will get them. Obviously, you will estimate based on your current

knowledge. If you have no idea of realistic costs, you will have to do some research: ASK PEOPLE WHO KNOW!
Part VI. (Individual) Reflection on process (collaboration, planning, product, learning)
For this part, each member of the collaborative team will write a one-page (NO LONGER!) reflection on the group process, highlighting points from

Heifetz that you think you might need to do to implement your plan.
DUE DATE: 7 December (You will have some class time to meet together to work on the collaboration part of this assignment)
Maximum 10 pages + Title Page with all team member names and ID#, course title, date. This does not include the one-page reflection! Each GROUP

PLAN should then be limited to 10 pages for the plan and an additional page for each group member’s reflection.
