This will be a critical exploration of Evidence Based practice and its key components within today’s healthcare arena. It will include the critical appraisal of a piece of evidence of relevance to the student’s practice.
??The papers to be used in the critical appraisal element of the assessment will be selected by the module leader based on the student group’s area of practice and relevance and will include different types of studies. This will help to standardise the assessment whilst allowing some choice. YOU WILL CHOOSE ONLY ONE PIECE OF RESEARCH FROM THE LIST PROVIDED TO CRITIQUE AS PART OF YOUR ASSIGNMENT.
??Your critique will need to evaluate the method and quality of the research, and the relevance and significance of the findings. It should identify what kind of evidence it offers, and contrast that with other kinds of evidence, analysing if this was the most appropriate. The critique addresses part of outcome 2 and should be around 1300 words
??The rest of your assignment should discuss the development and policy context of evidence based practice, as well as addressing the process of implementing evidence based practice in your practice setting. A general discussion, analysing the
implementation of evidence is useful here. This part of the assignment should address outcomes 1 and 3.
