Each student will need to demonstrate their understanding of the process and challenges related to the launch of a new product or service. Our
project is an app and is called X.
Explanation of our app : At the beginning of each semester students are on a search for textbooks and all the materials to prepare for their
classes. With the already high-cost of a textbook, and an additional shipping cost, many students decide to just not get the textbook at all.
After all, once the semester is over, a student is not likely to ever use the textbook again. For our marketing project, we want to create a
platform for students in Belgium to sell their used textbooks/school materials to other students. Through our website/app a student can post
the books they have available and other students can purchase the book. Since all selling and purchasing will be done through Belgium, shipping
will be relatively quick and with low costs. The concept is that this benefits both the student buying and selling. The buyer can get the
textbook at a low cost and quickly, while the seller can make some easy cash and get the textbooks off their hands. Textbooks can be sold in
various languages including English, French and Dutch. Because all transactions will go through our platform, buyers and sellers are guaranteed
that the transactions are safe and honest, and that they are not being ripped off.
We are a group and each member will be responsible for submitting a detailed and researched term paper on one of these topics concerning the
launch. Here’s my topic :
Topic #4: Distribution Strategy and Design
• Analyze the way other app creators distribute their product
• Find some original ways to promote the app throughout universities • Create a database with students email addresses
• Analyze other app’s design
• Draw an attractive and easy to use design
Guideline :
– Introduction (500 words) : The introduction serves as an overview of the research topic, the research question, the rationale supporting the
research, and the theoretical framework of the paper
– Discussion (1000 words) : This section introduces the definition of the concepts/theories applied in the marketing topic as it relates to the
relevant business, economic and statistical subject areas. This section presents different interpretations of the concept or different
perspectives through an evaluation of current literature and business reports to add breadth of knowledge.
– Analysis (1000 words) : This section analyses the topic through varying theoretical approaches to providing depth of knowledge through
literature evaluation.
– Conclusion (500 words) : A summary of your argument sustained by a critical analysis of both selected theories/concepts and events.
– REFERENCES : At least 4 academic references from academic sources and 10 journal articles should be used in the paper.
