The CHF data should be used for this assignment

The CHF data should be used for this assignment. Please submit your Excel and R script file with your assignment. Provide a written answer to each of the problems below. Feel free to copy and paste the output delivered from R for each of the problems. Also, copy and paste any of the graphics you are required to developed under the respective problems.

When you have completed the assignment, you should submit the following documents to the BlackBoard page:
1. The R script file with your code and answers for problems: 1-14
2. The histograms from problem 3
3. The bar plot from problem 7
4. The bar plot from problem 14
Descriptive Statistics Using R (9pts)
1. Calculate the mean, median and standard deviation for LOS (3 pts)
2. Calculate the mean, median and standard deviation foraccommodation charge (3 pts)
3. Create a histogramfor the following variables and describe what you see for each:
1. Accommodation charges (1pt)
2. Gender (1pt)
4. Age category (1pt)
Chi Squared Testin R(12 pts)
You must determine if there is an association between the number of male and female patients and admission source.
4. Develop a contingency table of the counts of each gender for each admission source (2 pts)
5. State an appropriate research question, the null and alternative hypotheses, and alpha level. (3 pts)
6. With a chi-squared test, determine if there is an association between gender and admission source. Describe what you find. (5 pts)
7. Graph the count of each gender for each admission source using a bar plot. (2 pts)
One-sample Z-Test for Proportions in R and Excel (9pts)
You must determine if the mortality rate of for MS-DRG 291 is significantly different than the nationally reported mortality rate of 2.9%.
8. From data that was provided to you, you were able to calculate that of the 165 patients coded with the MS-DRG code of 291, 16 patients expired (i.e., died). Given this information, what is the mortality rate for patients with MS-DRG code 291?(1pts)
9. You determined the mortality rate for MS-DRG 291 for Medicare patients in 2011 from the HCUP website to be 2.9%. State your research question, the null and alternative hypotheses, and alpha level (3 pts).
10. Use a one-sample Z-test to determine if the mortality rate for the hospital that generated the sample data is different from the US rate using an alpha level of 0.05. Describe your results. (Hint: your sample size will be equal to the total number of patients with MS-DRG 291). (5 pts)
Two-sample Z-test for Proportionsin R (12pts)
You must determine if the mortality rate for MS-DRG 292 is significantly different than the mortality rate for MS-DRG 293.
11. From data that was provided to you, you were able to calculate that of the 144 patients coded with the MS-DRG code of 292, 3 patients expired. Also, of the 81 patients coded with the MS-DRG code of 293, 2 patients expired. Given this information, what are the mortality rates for patients with MS-DRG codes 292 and 293? (2pts)
12. Stating your research question, the null and alternative hypotheses, and your alpha level.(3 pts)
13. Perform atwo-sample Z-test to determine if the mortality rate for MS-DRG 292 and MS-DRG 293 are statistically different.(5 pts)
14. Using a bar plot, plot the mortality rate for MS-DRG 292 and MS-DRG 293. (2 pts)
