Write a thesis-directed argument in which you take a position on some specific issue in which the concept of sacred places is relevant. An example might involve a place sacred to Native Americans that is threatened by development or recreational use. Or the issue might involve some place that is not sacred to Native Americans but has qualities of what Momaday would call sacred. In this argument, you should recycle some of what you wrote for the exploratory part of the project, applying the ideas to your chosen topic.
