Instructions on Term Paper
(1) Write a short term paper on Ian Maitland’s “The Great Non-Debate over International Sweatshops” :
(i) state the main thesis of the article;
(ii) explain in detail Maitland’s main arguments supporting the main thesis;
(iii) write one to two short paragraphs to evaluate Maitland’s argument(s).
(2) You may make reference to Arnold and Bowie’s “Sweatshops and Respect for Persons” to evaluate Maitland. But if you do, make
sure that you explain their argument(s) clearly and sufficiently.
(3) Word limit: 800 words (850 words max.)
