of everyday life in individualistic terms. Can this argument be equally applied to the Australian population? Using an example (please choose
one of the following: unemployment, divorce, obesity – if you would like to choose a different example please clear this with your tutor)
explain why sociologists would argue that individualistic explanations are inadequate? What elements would sociological explanations emphasise instead?
