PAPER FORMAT SHOULD BE AS FOLLOWS:
• Introduction of the non-profit selected for analysis
• Brief discussion of the economy in which this nonprofit depends upon (i.e. local, state, or federal economies)
• Description of it’s typical donor- dollar amount of donations, “strings attached” donors and other characteristics of their donor base
• Interviews- Whom did you speak with? Positions? Availability and Cooperation. Basis of your questioning
• Qualitative Factors- The intangibles regarding the interview. Openness/ Closed, Friendliness/ Coldness, Office Atmosphere, “Your Vibes”—Is this a type of

organization you would like to donate to and/ or volunteer for? Describe your experience
• Quantitative Factors- Conduct a financial analysis based on the financial statements of the nonprofit. The analysis could use various techniques such as trends,

ratio analysis, projections, and so forth. YOU NEED TO SELECT THE RELEVANT RATIOS FOR THIS PROJECT. IT IS NOT ONE SIZE FITS ALL. SOME RATIOS ARE MORE PERTINENT FOR THE

PARTICULAR NONPROFIT THAN OTHER RATIOS.
• Benchmarking- which benchmarks did you use? Were these benchmarks from some outside organization or were they from the nonprofit organization or both? Who is the

• Results- Based on the benchmarking, quantitative analysis, and qualitative analysis, what do you think of this nonprofit in terms of health and viability? Elaborate
