Order Description

I am working with a nurse practitioner in infection control clinic all the patients HIV some of them have diabetes, hypertension, etc…
in this home work I need to chose one case or experience in that clinic
the case is ( I have an HIV patient who has pain in the right flank with green productive cough for several days the nurse practitioner who I worked with order an X-ray for her and the patient did it few days after the visit and as a nurse practitioner role she check and review all the result and labs for her patients so she checked the result of the x ray and the result was that the patient has a mass in the right lobe of her lung, the nurse practitioner called the patient and admit her to the hospital and refer her to oncology department to see what they will do with her and they did biopsy and found the mass in third stage
she is still come to the clinic for follow up for the HIV

Log Recording Process

I. The clinical faculty is responsible for guiding and facilitating the student’s learning as well as evaluating the extent to which individual students have met their own objectives for this clinical experience. One way to facilitate communication between each student and faculty preceptor is through the process log. The process log provides a method for students to monitor and evaluate their own experiences relative to meeting their own predetermined objectives.
II. Log Outline:
(1) Writing the focus of the day’s experience
(2) Describing what occurred during the experience by recording observations
and/or actions
(3) Evaluating the experience in terms of meeting the pre-established
objective(s) and what was learned during the experience(s)
(4) What is the relationship of the experience(s) to the current literature
(5) INSIGHTS NEED TO INCORPORATE AN APPROPRIATE THEORETICAL
FRAMEWORK THAT CAN BE USED TO EXPLAIN
INSIGHTS/PHENOMENON IDENTIFIED (the same theoretical framework to
be used for class phenomenon project
