Topic: Sustainable organization change project

Order Description

Review documents to reflect on the changes that have occurred within your project team as the project has unfolded, how these changes have affected team performance,

how they have been managed and what you would do differently next time to change outcomes.

Your reflective paper should be in essay format. Subheadings and appendices may be attached.

High marks will be awarded for narrow and deep analysis. You are therefore advised to pick one key area that has been important during this project (e.g. conflict and

its resolution) and to examine this aspect in depth i.e. its cause, its impact on your team and yourself, how it was managed by the team and yourself, how it could

better have been managed by the team or yourself in the light of academic theory, what you would do differently next time.

It is expected that you will use relevant management theory to argue your position. You may find it useful to refer to Wood, J., Zeffane, R. Fromholtz, M. and

Fitzgerald, J., 2006. Organisational Behaviour: Core Concepts and Applications, Wiley: Brisbane (Chapter 6 and 7) as a starting point. Additional questions that may

help you in deciding the focus of your essay are:What was the occurrence of social loafing and other disruptive behaviour within the group? Did this behaviour change

over time? What was the trigger for change? What specific actions were taken by the group that influenced the change in behaviour?

What characteristics of an effective group were exhibited in your group?
How did your group set goals?
What rewards were incorporated into the time spent as a group? (special snacks, group cheer, “time out” together)
What resources were available to the group? Who had particular resources or “expert” skills to share with the group?
How did you originally perceive the group tasks? Did your perception of the group tasks change during the project?
Refer to Tuckman’s Stages of Group Development in Wood, J. Zeffane, R. Fromholtz, M. and Fitzgerald, J. 2006. Organisational Behaviour: Core Concepts and Applications,
