1. Based on your viewing of this movie and your reading of the assigned pages, discuss two important factors that has prompted contemporary Indian migration to Britain.

UK has good public sanitation and political stability, and is nicer to live in.

Indian’s large size of overseas immigration began in nineteenth century whose immigration process continues until now. Factors promote the immigration are better opportunities in education, jobs. Also, Indian was once the colony of Britain.

Based on your viewing of this movie and your reading of the assigned pages, discuss two important factors that has prompted contemporary Indian migration to Britain.
(2) Then briefly discuss the impact that this Indian migration to Britain has had on Indian culture and life for those who have migrated to and live in Britain today. Make sure that you include as context some brief discussion of historic European colonization and the contemporary postcolonial relationship between Britain and its former colonies.
(3) Discuss the main argument(s) in favor of the parents’ position and the main argument(s) in favor of the young woman’s position in the movie.
In the movie BENT LIKE BECKHAM, the indian parents were very push. They hold the view that girls should behave properly and be a lady. Girls should not play football and behave like a boy.Because no man would want to marry such a tomboy. The girl hold the view that she should have her own freedom and deserve to pursue for the things she like and good at even if it’s very not proper for a girl. She loves football and is good at it. She feels honored to play football.
(4) Then say whose argumentation (that of the parents or that of the young girl) you found most convincing and discuss why.
I found the argument of the girl to be the most convincing. Children has their right to choose the way to develop. Parents should respect them.
