What is Allocative Efficiency?

There is an Allocative Efficiency in the economy when the production decision fully reflects the consumer preferences. Allocative Efficiency in the economy implies that every good is produced up to the point where the marginal benefit derived from an additional unit of good consumed by the consumers equals to the marginal cost of producing this additional unit of the good faced by the producer.
