Write an essay explaining women’s lives in America since Reconstruction. Specifically, address how women’s lives were shaped by the many changes going on in modern America, and explain also the ways that women responded to those changes in both the private and public spheres.
Be sure to specify historical contexts by frequently identifying the 4 W’s. Keep in mind, that I am most interested to see how well you have learned the material, including your ability to discuss both the big themes AND the historical details that support them. These details are the “facts” that support your analysis, prove that what you are saying is valid and reasonable. They also demonstrate your famliarity with the materials assigned. And you should demonstrate that you are familiar with both our assigned textbook readings and also lectures I attached.
