For this assignment:

The research question must be open-ended, invite consideration of broader historical issues, and be potentially answerable.
• Write one paragraph explaining the historical context and/or historiography relevant to your research question.
• Provide a preliminary annotated bibliography that includes at least four sources. Include both primary sources and scholarly secondary sources. Each entry in the annotated bibliography should be three to five sentences in length and summarizes the contents of each selected source and its relevance to the topic. Include the title of the source, author, publisher, place, and date of publication in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
• Provide a title page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
I think you are leaning toward the women’s rights movement, correct? If so, have you considered your temporal parameters? Are you more interested in early suffragists or perhaps Progressive era, or are you more into 1960s movements? The other thing to consider is the TYPES of sources you find really gripping. Newspaper articles? Advertising? Magazines targeted at women? Speeches? Legislation? Medical literature? Workplace regulation? Diaries? Letters? As you know, different types of sources tell different parts of the “story” so to speak. And some types of sources you will find to be more compelling than others.
