BEFORE CLASS on Thursday, 11/19, watch these two short episodes of Crash Course World History. Pay attention to what Green has to say about how we assign blame for the First World War (in particular in the second episode).

Then in class, you will watch a BBC documentary about the First World War which, perhaps not surprisingly, comes from a particularly British perspective. (The Necessary War (WWI Documentary) (BBC))
After watching the video, answer the following question:
Does John Green’s examination of “Who Started World War I” affect your understanding of the BBC documentary? How?
Your answer should be brief, no more than one paragraph. Submit your answers online through this assignment. Please note that the assignment is open until 7pm, but I expect you to turn it in while still in class. The video only lasts 60 of our 75 minute class period.
