As you view the counseling videos found under “Videos of Various Therapeutic Models” in this Module and read the chapters in Family Therapy, consider the questions below:
What do you you like about the demonstration of strategies of theories?
How do they compare with your view of the family and treatment?
What tools or techniques did you find useful and how might you incorporate those techniques in practice?
Did you come across a theory that you may like better than another and why?
Respond to fellow students who have discussed a model that differs from the one you liked best.
Do different models have a technique that you would use with a family?
You may use any therapeutic model from the chapters in the text (except Family Systems Theory which will be discussed in Discussion 2 of this module). If the model you have chosen has no URL video link in this course, and you are able to find a video on this model you wish to share with the class, provide that link which you have found via the internet in your discussion so the class will have the opportunity to view what you have seen.
