(1) Discern the difference between the Knight of Faith and the Knight of Resignation in Fear and Trembling.

Briefly describe the different ways in which faith and resignation are expressed. Then with these distinctions in mind, think about the men and women going off to fight for ISIS (Islamic State in Syria and Iraq). How would Kierkegaard categorize the intentions of these fighters? Would he consider them knights of faith or knights of resignation or neither? There is no correct answer, but you must be able to explain your decision. This prompt will require you to brush up a bit on current events.
