What are The Most Important Factors For Schools to Promote Healthy Environment?
The Cover Page:
You must make a cover page that follows APA format rules.

1) In the upper right, justified to the right margin you will insert the running head itself and the number 1.

2) Two inches down from the top of the page, justified on the left margin, you will write the words ‘Running head: “ and then give an abbreviated version of your title in all caps. The title portion is exactly the same as your running head itself. This running head will go on every page all the way through to the end, including your reference pages and any appendices if you have them (although most of you do not).

3). Starting in the middle of the page and justified in the center put

the full title of your paper

Your name

College

The course number

Your full title should be descriptive enough that people get the sense of the subject area that your research is in, and the specific topic that you covered. Do not be too vague, or the title will not help other researchers determine if your paper might be useful for them. Think about the kinds of titles that you found helpful while you were searching databases.
The Abstract Page:
1) The running head will appear on every page for the rest of your paper, including all reference pages and any appendix pages (if you have them; most of you do not).

2) Center justify the word Abstract without any italics, underlines, etc.

3) Skip one line and DO NOT indent. Begin your abstract.

4) Double space the abstract. It should not exceed 120 words. It must be written in the third person (he, she, it, they).

Note about writing a good abstract: A good abstract should give the reader information about:

 what the research question was
 how the research proceeded
 what the conclusions are

If you just write 3-6 sentences that follow this template you will have a good abstract.

You have all seen abstracts like these in peer-reviewed journals, and yours should be just like those. The point is to give the reader a complete, but highly condensed version of the question that motivated your project and the final research results. Do not, however, try to do too much in the abstract. The body of the Capstone will give all the details about how you got to the conclusions, so don’t try to include that in the abstract.
The first page of the body of the Capstone:
1) Your running head and the number 3 start the Capstone, because this will be the third page.

2) Skip two spaces and center justify your full title. Skip another space and Introduction. Double space, indent and begin your introduction. Be sure to indent each paragraph 1/2 inch from the left margin and double space through out, unless you have longer quotes.

FOLLOW ALL APA RULES FOR OFFSETTING LONGER QUOTES, USING HEADINGS AND SUBHEADINGS IN YOUR PAPER.
The second and subsequent pages of the body of your Capstone:
1) Your running head will be on every page of your Capstone, through to the end, including your references and appendix pages if you have them.
2) Include any headings and subheadings according to APA guidelines. These are very helpful to orient your reader, and the best place to find them is from your writing outline, however, don’t overuse them.

The reference pages:
1) The references must begin on a new page. Do NOT put them on the same page where the body of the Capstone ends.

2) You will continue to use your running head and number your pages right through to the end of the references.

3) Center justify and type the word “References” at the top of the page.

FOLLOW ALL APA RULES FOR REFERENCING YOUR SOURCES.

The appendix (if you have one):
Note: Most of you will NOT have an appendix, so just ignore this.
An appendix is needed for any information that is cited in your Capstone, but is not available in the library, etc. So, if you did interviews that you cite from (or even just refer to) or a case study, or any other original research, you must have all of that information in your capstone. Think of the appendix as a mini-library where a reader can go and find the original material you are citing. The references page does that for all the other information that is available through other sources. So, as a reader, I have to be able to find every piece of information that you relied on in making this Capstone, and if there is anything that is not available through library sources, then it has to be included here. .

1) Use the running head and number your pages through the appendix.

2) Give a title (centered) to each thing you add to the appendix. For example:

Interview Questions and Answers

Survey Form

Survey Responses
.

Presenting the completed Capstone:
Make sure that your Capstone is ordered properly:

There is no hard and fast limit; those are guidelines.
