Electro Magnetics

Electro Magnetics
A uniform plane wave in air is incident normally on a dielectric wall as
shown in the figure. The amplitude of the incident wave and reflected
electric fields are measured as 4 V/m and -2 V/m, respectively.
3) Find the wall’s permittivity e in terms of 60,
b) write an expression for the total electric field in air as well as in
dielectric.
c) What are the maximum and the minimum values of the field.
6) Plot the magnitude of the total electric field and the total Magnetic
Field in air as well as in the dielectric as a function of 2/1.
(In your plots use the range: 053/151)
0) A dipole antenna is placed in air in front of the dielectric wall.
Find its orientation and its shortest distance from the wall for maximum
reception. Should the distance be changed if the dielectric wall is
replaced by a perfectly electric conducting (PEC) wall? Explain.
