As described in the readings for this unit, those who respond to disasters may also find the crisis so upsetting that they themselves suffer from post traumatic stress disorder. Reflect on how emergency managers and others in the community might address this need to help the helpers. In addition, answer the following questions:
•What can emergency officials do to address the problem?
•What might be done to lessen or mitigate the problem?
•What, if anything, might make the problem more difficult?
