The HR director of a large Multi National Corporation has requested you write a report that critically discusses the options available to the organisation (details below|) with regard to implementing an employee engagement programme.
The organisation’s head office is located in Coventry and employs 350 white collar workers. Its Indian subsidiary employs 1500 workers, the majority of which are skilled engineers, and specialises in the manufacture of high quality automotive components. The subsidiary based in Taiwan, employs 3000 workers, many of whom are low skilled, and produces components in large volumes, intended for the cheaper end of the car and truck market.
The UK based division has a flat management structure, whereas both overseas divisions employ a more hierarchical structure.
