Final Research Paper: Part 2

Turn in the final draft of your 4-6-page paper (@1250-1800 words) on one of the following topics. You are expected to cite at least three

sources (outside of the course text) in supporting your thesis on your chosen topic. Please double-space the paper, using Times New Roman font

in 12-point. You may use either MLA or APA formatting and documentation style. Be sure to put all copied words, phrases, sentences, etc. in

quotation marks and cite all paraphrased words, ideas, and arguments. Feel free to include illustrations in your paper.

Be sure to read through the Guidelines (click on “Research Paper: Topics & Guidelines” below) for tips on writing the paper.
1.Choose and fully identify two specific works made after 500 CE that combine images with text. The works must come from different art

historical periods. Note: Do not choose works with text consisting only of names, labels, or artists’ signatures. Discuss the relationship

between text and image in the two works you have chosen.

Put your name on your paper (had a few outlines without names on it)

2. Double space your final paper (this is proper formatting and much better on the eyes)

3. Cite your sources in proper MLA or APA formatting. Many outlines lacked formatted sources. If you need help visit the Owl at Purdue for

formatting guidance.

4. Indent your paragraphs (not needed on an outline but is needed on the final paper)

5. If you include images, you will need to place them at the end of your essay but prior to the works cited. Include proper formatted figure

information.

6. Use your art vocabulary from Week 1 to enhance your descriptions.

7. Use specific artworks (titles in italics). It is not an art history paper without artworks.
