6. CIPD Mega Trends Report 50% Business Report
Answer two Questions in a report format With reference to the CIPD Megatrends report: ”The Trends Shaping Work and Working Lives”, write a business report, between 1350 words minimum and 1650 words maximum, in which you answer the following two questions:

1) Explain the three main Megatrends highlighted in the CIPD Megatrends report that have been shaping global economies.

2) Discuss the implications and challenges of these trends for companies in terms of the management of their human resources.

Support your answers with evidence form the report and your wider reading and include your refrences. See the report assessment criteria below.

Based on the Megatrends report (Please see BREO for a PDF copy of the full report), this short video highlights some of the key trends that have been shaping our economies and the world of work in order to prompt a debate among practitioners, academics and policy-makers on the implications of change and what the HR profession can do to adapt to change and help shape the future.

Your Task
Read the CIPD Megatrends report, and write a business report, between 1350 words minimum and 1500 words maximum in which you answer the following two questions:

1. Explain the three main Megatrends highlighted in the CIPD Megatrends report that have been shaping global economies.

2. Discuss the implications and challenges of these trends for companies in terms of the management of their human resurces. Support your answers with evidence from the report and your wider reading.
Remember:
o You need to analyse and give rational, not just describe, and use relevant analytical frameworks to help you in conducting a systematic and structured analysis.
o Support your analysis and arguments with evidence and provide references
o Relate what you are doing and why you are doing it to theory, where relevant argue points where there are different views

? Use an appropriate report format.

? The mini tasks and report in the portfolio must contain references, which must be referenced using the Harvard system of referencing. You will find details of this system in the Study Guide.

? Your answer to the report must be around 1,500 words long, excluding executive summary, list of references, necessary appendices, and title page.

? Any submission after this date will NOT be graded unless students provide a suitable explanation to the mitigation Team and obtain an extension from the Mitigation Team. (Inform your tutor about this but obtain the permission from the Mitigation Team).
