How to conduct a study

How to conduct a study
• What, in general, is already known about the research problem that you selected? Cite other studies and scholarly resources in synthesizing and summarizing what is known.
• What is not known related to your research problem?
• Your literature review should justify your study—is there a hole in what is known that you can fill with your study? Make a case for why conducting your proposed study would answer a problem that is not already well understood.
• Information should be drawn from appropriate sources, including two dissertation sources from ProQuest including the references you listed in step one. Remember that your literature review in your Final Research Proposal will need to be a minimum of 8 pages, so please be sure to continue working on this section during Weeks 3-6.
Conclusion: A restatement of the purpose/thesis statement followed by a succinct conclusion paragraph on the literature review..
