i) Fully describe the process to obtain the plot in figure 2. [20 marks]
ii) How would you set the systems initial conditions to achieve
the response seen in figure 2 ? [10 marks]
iii) Identify the system’s steady state gain and
estimate the value of the system constant K 2.
Hint .’ In the steady state nothing is changing .’ [20 marks]
iv) Evaluate the system’s percentage overshoot and describe
how you would use the simulation to evaluate the
value of the constant K; needed to reduce this to 10% ? [20 marks]
