Operational Strategies and Operational Plan

Discuss the operational strategy and planning tools used toward bring your product to manufacture.
Discuss whether the manufacturingstrategy is toward Project/Prototype, Job Shop – Small Lot Size, Repetitive/Batch production, Flowline production, or continuous Mass Production.
Discuss whether your plan utilizes an engineer to order, make to order, assemble to order, or make to stock methodology, and why? Support your assertion from supporting information provide during lecture or the Groover e-textbook provide to you in Blackboard.
Refer to the engineering drawings (orthographic projections, exploded view, assembly diagram, and/or individual part prints as needed) that you have developed here. Be sure to cross-reference them in the Appendices.

Provide a Parts List,Bill of Materials (BOM) (along with costs) and a Make vs. Buy Chart here.
Impart a Part Coding system (Monocode, Polycode, Optiz,, DCLASS, KK-3, MICLASS, or Vuosa-Praha codes) to the components in your product even if there was little machining done to your components. Explain why you used the part coding system that you used.
Be sure to cross-reference information provided below, in this section, to all sections of this document.
The components below should be discussed here, but provide details in section Discuss whether you employ a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS), Group Technology, and/or a Cellular (Process Layout or Cellular Layout) Manufacturing Layout to your manufacturing system. Support your assertions regarding the strategy you’ve employed. Provide reference to lecture materials or the Groover e-textbook provided to you in Blackboard. Provide CAD drawings illustrating your manufacturing system layout.

Be sure to discuss critical path (tasks and predecessors) arrangement for the manufacture of your product. DetermineTakt time, Cycle time, and the number of work stations you will need to make annual production requirements.
Specify the manufacturing equipment you will need to make your product. With reference to the equipment required, provide Routing Sheets, Operations Process Charts and Flow Analysis (Spaghetti/String or Line Flow diagrams) to describe the manufacturing process for your product.
Described the Lean principles and Line Balancing methodology you have used to ensure continuous production. Provide calculations for the number of Kanbans or WIP stations (based upon Economic Order Quantity – EOQ) you use in your company to manufacture your product.
Discuss the labor requirements per shift you will need to manufacture your product here.
