In the introduction, you should bring the reader up to speed on the topic (SEE ATTACHED) for your intervention proposal.

Be sure to use epidemiological concepts within the introduction. It should include the following information:
Introduction

• Overview of your topic (disease or condition).
 What is the etiology?
 What is the burden (prevalence and incidence)?
 What are the risk factors?

This section should transition smoothly into your background section, which goes into more detail about your topic and any previous work that has been done in the

field.

It is important to reference peer-reviewed journal articles in this section in order to cover the following information:

Background

• This disease in your community.
 What is the scope of the problem?
 How many people?
 What type of people?

 Why are people in your community acquiring this disease or condition?
 What are the risk factors present in the community?

• Previons intervention studies on this topic.
 What methods were used?
 What were the outcomes?
 How do these populations relate to your community?
 How can these interventions be adapted to your community?

This section of the paper should transition well into the Methods section, in which you explain how the proposed intervention would be conducted or adapted into your

community.

You should use this section to justify the need for your project, as well as support the method you have chosen to use.

This assignment should be 3 pages in length and include a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed journal articles.

The assignment must demonstrate academic writing skills by communicating in a clear, logical, and grammatically correct manner.
