What is the risk
We believe the most dangerous risk in Iran is terrorism. That including abduction, forcing to conversion, robbery, assassination, and suicide bombing attack occur continuously in Iraq. They not only kill each other religious groups or tribe but also kill normal citizens or police officer. Especially, ISIS, one of the terrorist group in Iraq and Syria, has been growing up and expanding the area that they control rapidly.
Who/Which group
There is some extremist both in Iran and outside Iran.
ISIS is the Sunni terrorist group that are active next to Iran. They aim to promote the ideas of rationalism, secularism, democracy and human rights within Islamic society. Other religion people will be forced to convert to ISIS or die. They have been expanding area to Iraq and Syria to control and These two are the famous group.
Next, armament terrorist in Iran from Afghanistan who bring the drug causes crash with Iran’s police.
And other extreme terrorist do bombing terror in south Iran.
Why are those groups danger
As we stated above section, basically, islamic fundamentalism is to eject Europe and America. So, if ISIS expand their conquer area to Iran, it is possible that they attack American or destroy product made by American company. And Iran’s 90% of religion is shia. This means that ISIS can easily expand their area.
Where is the most dangerous
We can definitely say southern Iran and eastern and western Iran which are near from border are too dangerous.
First, the border with Iraq is affected by ISIS and Al-Qaeda. As we mentioned before, ISIS is now increasing and exceeding their area. They have already controlled the province near from Baghdad. So if they last their expanding to south and east, even central and north Iran would be dangerous. There are also bombing terrorism and robbery since 2011.
Secondly, the east southern Iran which has border with Afghanistan is also dangerous. Because there are crash between terrorist and police with dragg from Afghanistan.
Thirdly, There is dangerous in southern Iran. In addition to bombing terror, there are some people who abducted in this area. Most of the country designate these three area as hazard area.
How to minimize this risk
We cannot eliminate this risk completely. But we can minimize this risk as follow.
First of all, Try to get newest information, and search any affairs. By doing so, you can avoid place if there is affair.
Second, Try to avoid crowded or institution of government that could be target of terror. As we mentioned before, some terrorist group target government. And, in fact, they have bombed government institution before. So you should avoid these institution as well as croweded place.
Third, pay attention to the things and situation around myself. And don’t close to the suspicious objects. Because it is possible that object is to be bomb. Don’t do anything you don’t have to.
Finally, leave place immediately when you face to the unexpected accident like explosion. Because there could be terrorist near from explosion.
If one day when terrorism does come to a halt or is no longer dangerously dominating and when Iran’s economy, is no longer shaping Iran’s government due to outsider’s influence, Iran has a possibility of becoming a player in the world’s economy due to having natural resources and one major factor that is having the world’s second largest petroleum reserve. If our firm will be one of the few to be success, our product using Iran’s natural resources our product will not only capitalize internationally , but will help our small United States firm grown globally.
If the majority of (successful) Iranian businessmen or businesswomen have no desire to do business in Iran or laugh at the idea of having a successful business in Iran, it brings a doubt to the project. Thus, if Iran is unappealing to outside Iranians, it will make it problematic for our business to find and connect with Iranians in order to help jumpstart our project.
There are many factors that need to be taken to consideration with putting our small business firm at risk. Terrorist or extremists are the biggest risk we know we will have to personally (illegally) by bribing or becoming allies with the terrorist or professionally (legally) dealing with Iranian government in order for our business to succeed in Iran.
Only days before July 1st, the United State enacted sanctions that punished most foreign countries, which caused a ban of all 27 members of the European Union from buy or insuring Iranian oil. Just the worldwide ban on oil set a red flag to many businesses.
Although the greater the risk the better the outcome or the more successful the outcome, the risk for US businessmen or businesswomen is that Iran is too risky. Terrorism is so broad and can range from roadside killings from suicide bombers or to being capture and tortured by terrorist for many years, thus doing any business in Iran seems to come to picking life or death.
For many Iranian , who have come to the United States from the Iranian Revolution, a constant battle from the beginning of the Cold War to present day, terrorism is a constant theme throughout Iran’s history. The black market in Iran is without a doubt anything, but successful. Terrorism brings terror, which has caused economic or business relationships between Iran and businesses to go almost at the point of extinction.
