Book Essay: Yezierska, Anzia. Bread Givers

In your preparation for the essay, think about the question below as you read the book.

Analyze the obstacles Sara encountered in her struggle personal independence and how she overcame them. Discuss at least two different obstacles.

An obstacle is a barrier to her goals. What is preventing her from accomplishing her goals? Or how did people try to prevent her from accomplishing her goals? And,

explain the actions that Sara took to achieve her goals.

You are creating an argument. And, support your argument with evidences.)

Support each idea with a minimum of two evidences. Your logic and supporting facts will determine a majority of your grade. Clarity, grammar and spelling will also

affect your grade. Be specific and clear in your writing.

Write a brief introduction and conclusion. They should include the two different ideas that are in the body of your essay.

Use MLA format for citations and bibliography. You do not need to have quotes. If you do quotes, you need to do citations. See instructions below.
