You are required to observe a ‘live’ sport event as either a spectator or participant. Using the lens of a sport event manager, you should analyse and explore six logistical components of the sport event (customer and/or venue/site – as identified by Bladen, C., Kennell, J., Abson, E. & Wilde, N. (2012) Events Management: An Introduction, London: Routledge, Ch.4 from p.93) that have a significant impact upon the sport event customer experience.

Your analysis should consider the following elements:
▪ An introduction to the sport event and its programme of activities, making reference to relevant sport event typologies;
▪ An identification of the sport event consumer(s) and their motivations for attending the event;
▪ An evaluation of the six logistical components of the sport event (focused upon planning and staging) which could impact upon the sport event consumer experience (to include a method which could be used to evaluate the sport consumer’s experience of your chosen event).
