The Boston Massacre
Objective: to understand colonial hostilities during the Revolutionary Period by conducting research and utilizing primary sources
Assignment: You will provide a summary of the political events leading up to the Boston Massacre. Then you will discuss the points of view expressed by Captain Preston, found here (http://www.let.rug.nl/usa/documents/1751-1775/captain-prestons-account-of-the-boston-massacre-march-5-1770.php), and the Paul Revere engraving, found here (http://media.pearsoncmg.com/ph/hss/SSA_SHARED_MEDIA_1/history/MHL/US/images/Paul_Revere_Etching_of_Boston_Massacre.html) and in your book (p. 103). Who do you think gives a more accurate account of the massacre and why?
Your paper should be 4-5 pages, double-space in 12 point Times New Roman font. Page numbers will be in the upper right corner.
